Time to Plan For Our USA ROAD TRIP

As you may (or may not) know, our plan for our YouTube channel in 2020 was to travel more. See more of the world and take you along with us via the vlogs.

Everyone knows what happened next. Covid hit and we all found ourselves frantically changing plans and coping in a world alien to most of us. Our plans at the time included New York (Check out this blog post for our top ten things to do in New York) and a May 2020 return trip to Florida. As with lots of people, travel plans were quickly canceled, amended, and postponed. We found ourselves living in a new world without international (or even local) travel

Skip to 2021

Travel slowly started returning to our lives and with caution, we ventured back out into a very different world. Masks strapped to our faces, we headed down to Southampton and boarded a cruise ship or two. We headed over to France to experience the delights of Disneyland Paris.

Florida returns to our lives

We decided to buy an annual pass for Disneyland Paris, thinking returning to Florida was something in a far-off future. On our return journey from DLP, we heard the news that flights to the USA would be commencing within a month. It was time to decide, whether to stay local or return to one of our favourite places. Florida.

As you will know, if you are a long-time viewer of our channel, we decided to return to Florida. Covid cases in the UK were rising once again by the time our flight was almost upon us so we moved our trip forward and enjoyed Christmas in a hot sunny climate for the first time in our lives. A second trip to Florida came and went in May 2022 (all vlogged on our channel). We love returning to Florida, not just for the delights of Disney and Universal but to explore outside the parks and find new places to see and of course to get together with some lovely friends we have made there, some of whom have become very close………but

In the back of our minds, throughout the pandemic, our wish to travel to other places (and take our viewers along with us through our videos) remained.

So plan we did (and still are), in the background a few things happened. We decided to schedule in one of Nicks’s bucket list trips for later in the year. A cross-country USA road trip starting in LA and ending in Sunny (hopefully) Florida. More details on this can be found in our Road Trip Post

We are also planning a UK road trip. We enjoy venturing out of the country but are always intent on seeing more of our own country or visiting favourite places again. The UK road trip will be coming later in the year. We embarked on a UK road trip in 2019 which we absolutely loved (see below vlog for one of our most memorable days from the series)

Nicks new venture

To help out with our road trip in the USA (and eventually other destinations) Nick took a travel course and has gained ways to access great hotel prices. While we won’t ever try out chains like Super 8 (maybe just that once) we do enjoy staying in finer places and hope to show you some great accommodations along the way both in the USA and outside

Disney will be staying part of our lives (at least for now)

For those, like us that enjoy going to Disney parks, we do have plans to return to them this year (2022) Not just one, but a few different ones. We have both said we would like to bucket list the rest of the Disney parks around the world. This year we will be returning to some familiar ones.

The greatest thing for us having a Youtube and social media presence is….. YOU. We love the community that has arisen around our channel and we love interacting with each and every one of you. We learn from you as much as you learn from us and we are always looking for tips, suggestions, and new places to explore and discover.
