🎄Christmas Vlogs 2022 & December life update

December is upon us already. Where has this year gone? Rewind to a year ago this month, we were preparing to fly to Florida for Christmas. Thinking a boxing day covid lockdown in the UK was impending, we brought the trip forward and flew out on 23rd December. ❄️

Spending our first Christmas in a hot climate took a little getting used to. It felt like Christmas when we looked around, Christmas trees and people wearing festive outfits. But it also felt completely Alien to us. We spent the morning in a Disney water park, ate dinner at Raglan Road in Disney Springs, and made our way into Magic Kingdom. 🎅

It will be a Christmas day we will remember. Would we do it again? YES! Trying new things is always exciting and although it didn’t feel like the traditional Christmas day we are used to, it gave us new Christmas memories. The only thing missing was family. Maybe one day we can go with them.🎄

December 2022

As you will more than likely know by now, our lives have taken a turn this year with Nick’s Mum. We are spending more time with her, visiting, just being with her, and taking her to appointments.

Because of this news, we decided to cut our videos down from four to three a week. This means the USA road trip vlogs have spread out further into December and given us some breathing space to deal with family matters.

Christmas vlogs will still be coming in December. Just fewer of them this year. We have been filming when we get a few hours here and there and managed to get some days in between visiting. Nick’s Mum has a large extended family so we have to have breaks so they all get a chance to go visit. On these days we have been trying to do as many festive things as we can. We film in advance which always allows for eventualities like this. We plan and prepare so we can take time off if needed without there being a break in the vlogs. If the vlogs get a little further behind than usual then it’s just how it has to be at the moment. As I’m sure you all agree…family comes first and always will do 🏂

We have visited a few Christmas markets and have a couple of Christmas parties coming up and of course, a little elf called Eric will be making an appearance.

As we can’t really plan what will happen day to day at the moment, we may end up recording festive vlogs past the 25th of December. If we get the time to do more we may put out daily vlogs on Christmas week (don’t hold us to that though 😂) We will just see what happens

January

Going into January we will revert to home vlogs. We will be staying at the apartment while the Lodge is closed instead of our usual Florida trip. Whilst it’s always interesting to film our trips, it’s nice to get back to some home vlogs for a time. 🤶
