About Us

Welcome to our blog! We are Leigh and Nick, a couple from the UK.

In 2017, we experienced a health scare that prompted us to reevaluate our lives. As a result, we decided to leave behind our 9-5 jobs and focus on enjoying life outside of our business. Although our company continued until 2022, we eventually had to close it due to declining revenue caused by increased competition in our field.

To embark on this new chapter, we purchased a lodge on the Yorkshire coast and picked up a camera to document our experiences through vlogging. You can watch our first-ever vlog below, but please bear in mind that our introduction is quite old and the camera quality may not be the best (it was all filmed on our phone). Rest assured, the quality improves over timeβ€”we promise!

In January 2019, after a gap of over ten years, we made the decision to return to Florida. We fell in love with it all over again! Florida, with its captivating attractions such as Disney and Universal, had always been a topic of discussion for us since we first got together back in 1998.

Our fascination with Florida began in 1999 when Leigh’s parents presented us with an incredible offer they had come across. It included a two-week trip to Florida with accommodation and flights for the unbelievable price of approximately Β£498 (just imagine getting that kind of deal nowadays!). Without any hesitation, we eagerly accepted the offer and embarked on our Florida adventure in 2000. Needless to say, we loved every single moment of that trip.

In 2020 our travel plans were put on hold due to the global pandemic and we filmed every day of our lockdown lives after we had to leave our lodge

As life gradually returned to a sense of normalcy, we reignited our passion for travel and resumed our plans to explore more destinations. We are thrilled to bring our viewers, whom we affectionately refer to as “Lodgers,” along with us on our adventures through our videos.

Join us as we embark on journeys around the world, exploring fascinating destinations beyond our borders. We’ll also take you on captivating tours within the UK, uncovering hidden gems and sharing our experiences of the beautiful landscapes and rich culture that our home country has to offer. And of course, we’ll provide glimpses into our day-to-day life at the lodge, where we create lasting memories.
