The Wookie Cookie: Is It Worth the Hype at Disney’s Hollywood Studios ?
We finally ticked a big one off the snack list at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: the Wookie Cookie.
These things have been on our radar for a while now, ever since our friend Neil mentioned them, and since we’re always looking for the best (and worst) treats in the parks, we had to see if it lived up to the hype

What Is It?
The Wookie Cookie is essentially a massive oatmeal cookie sandwich. It’s inspired by Chewbacca, featuring two large oatmeal cookies with a thick layer of vanilla cream filling in the middle.
To finish the look, there’s a chocolate piece on top designed to look like Chewie’s bandolier.

The Verdict
The first thing you’ll notice is the size—they are huge. This isn’t a snack you tackle alone unless you’ve skipped breakfast and lunch. They are easily big enough for two to share (probably even three)
As for the taste, the cookies themselves were decent, but we found the cream filling to be a bit sickly.
It’s very sweet and very heavy. While we’re glad we finally tried it, it’s a “one and done” for us. We enjoyed the experience, but we probably won’t be rushing back to grab another one.
We think there are many better snacks in Hollywood studios, such as the Whoopie Pies from Starbucks (another one that’s easily big enough to share) and the Num Num Cookie.

Where to Find It
If you want to try one for yourself, head over to Backlot Express in Hollywood Studios. It’s located near the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular.
- Price: Usually around $7.49 (plus tax).
- Mobile Order: You can order this through the My Disney Experience app, which we highly recommend to skip the standby line.

Tips for Your Visit
- Share it: Seriously, find a partner. It’s a lot of sugar for one person.
- Grab napkins: Between the soft cookies and the cream, it can get messy quickly in the Florida heat.
- Pair it with coffee: A black coffee helps cut through the sweetness of that filling. At the time we went, they had a lovely cold brew with sweet cream topping.
It’s definitely one of the most “Instagrammable” snacks in the park, but taste-wise, it might be a bit much if you don’t have a massive sweet tooth.
